Douglas Windsor DC

My journey to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic followed an unconventional path. In 2007, I was at the height of my first career as a chef/restaurateur in Southerndown, having just been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and third Welsh chef of the year title. While the accolades were a dream realized, the reality was a body pushed to its limit by years of high-pressure hospitality.

That Christmas, an "accidental" first chiropractic adjustment changed everything. I experienced an immediate, profound release of tension and stress—a feeling of clarity and physical joy that led to the best sleep I could remember. In that moment, my obsession shifted: I wanted to give others that same life-changing realization that suffering doesn't have to be a permanent state of being.

I traded the kitchen for the clinic, graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic 2013. During my studies, I was honored with the Graham Harding Memorial Award for Best Clinical Practice, a recognition that reflects my commitment to the highest standards of study and patient care.

My approach is uniquely multi-faceted. Before my Master’s in Chiropractic, I qualified in Food Science and Nutrition, working in London and New York as a private chef and nutritional advisor. This allows me to look beyond the adjustment and understand the chemical and nutritional building blocks of my patients' recovery.

Experience You Can Trust Having served the South East for over a decade and practiced in Brazil, I have treated a vast spectrum of injuries. My philosophy is rooted in:

Empathy through Experience: Having navigated my own sports injuries, I understand the frustration of being "sidelined" and advocate for early intervention.

Structural & Neurological Integration: Combining spinal health with neuro science for long-term vitality.

Active Longevity: I’m living proof of the benefits; chiropractic care is what keeps me in the gym, the running trail, and the ski slopes.

I now follow a new recipe for longevity and purpose, its simple,

Strong mindset, balanced nutrition, exercise you enjoy, Getting enough quality sleep, solid relationships and a commitment to constant personal development.

Outside of the clinic, my roots are now firmly in Wales. Whether I’m practicing my guitar or enjoying the rugged beauty of the Welsh coast, I am usually accompanied by my wife and our two little sausage dogs. I look forward to helping you achieve your true potential—whether that’s returning to elite sport or simply waking up feeling as refreshed as I did on that Boxing Day in 2007.
