NOT A PATIENT.
At The Tuning Room, we acknowledge the power of words and language, and make a conscious effort to use vocabulary that empowers people to take ownership of their healing journey.
For this reason, when you receive care from The Tuning Room, you are not referred to as a patient. A patient is a person who is seeking something outside of themselves to relieve pain or discomfort.
At The Tuning Room, you are a practice member; meaning you are a member of of a community that is built to empower you to heal through your innate intelligence.
You are part of a community
The power of community lies in its ability to facilitate healing from within by creating a supportive environment where individuals can share experiences, and offer and share diverse skills and resources.
At The Tuning Room we recognise the collective strength of community, and have consciously created space within our practice for community to build and grow.
We offer regular events and experiences, as well as retreats and evening workshops to bring our practice members together to learn and share with others.
Our community library in the communal area of the practice contains a wide selection of books that as a practice member you are welcome to borrow from, and contribute to.
